PROLOGUE

Earth Anthem Enterprises (EAE) has it roots deeply imbedded in American history and reaches forward with a new entrepreneurial vision for the 21st century. During the war of 1812, as he observed the bombardment of Fort McHenry in Baltimore Harbor, Francis Scott Key wrote what we now know as the Star Spangled Banner. Sung to the melody of an English drinking song popular in taverns throughout Colonial America, Key’s verses captivated the courage and valor of a great American victory, catalyzed American patriotism, and rallied the young country around the symbol of its flag. In 1931, the Star Spangled Banner became our national Anthem. ( See History of Earth Anthem Verse )

Now at the start of the new millennium, singer, songwriter and visionary artist Stephen Longfellow Fiske, a descendent of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, has added a new verse, “Earth Anthem,” to the old melody. Whenever Stephen performs Earth Anthem, it has been enthusiastically received. Earth Anthem, along with other EAE product offerings, beautifully describes a new, peaceful and sustainable future in celebration of the Earth and its people. This new verse sets the thematic tone for EAE.

EAE is taking initiative as a multi media/arts production company to both develop and promote an expanding catalogue of innovative products and services to model the transformational changes we seek for the 21st century and beyond.. Stephen’s newly released CD, "Earth Anthem, How Do You Want Your World" is the first product released by EAE in association with Fiske Music.

To envision a world distinct from the one we are living in today suggests a bold shift in the very way in which we live and do business. EAE believes that a key component of building a sustainable culture of peace lies in the design, development, and distribution of products and services that encourage such an outcome.
